Our staff have been carefully interviewed and selected. They are chosen for employment based on their competence, work history and education. Most importantly, we seek individuals who commit themselves to pursuing the IR2 Lifestyles mission, vision and values.
It is the policy of IR2 Lifestyles to make every effort to employ and solicit employees who can meet eligibility requirements for employment by our organization. Furthermore, it is our intent to provide competitive wages and comprehensive training to individuals who meet hiring criteria.
A criminal background check is required for all staff. The background check includes a Central Registry check through the Department of Family Services, a local background check as well as a criminal background check conducted by the state through a fingerprint check.

NEW HIRE TRAINING INCLUDES AN INITIAL 40 HOURS OF:
- CPR/1ST AID TRAINING
- CRISIS PREVENTION INTERVENTION
- MEDICATION MONITORING TRAINING
- EFFECTIVE TEACHING TECHNIQUES
- EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION
- ASSET JOB TRAINING
- PROTECTION AND ADVOCACY TRAINING
- BASIC HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAINING
- PROGRAM/DOCUMENTATION/REPORT WRITING
- AN ADDITIONAL 24 HOURS OF TRAINING IS REQUIRED PER YEAR FOR EACH EMPLOYEE
